This exceptional Don PX Selección 1968 is an enveloping and complex wine, produced from the “asoleo” process of Pedro Ximénez grapes to obtain a great richness in sugars. After the press, it was left to rest for 12 months in stainless steel tanks. When the period came to an end, it was stored in American oak butts to age with time. An authentic gem awarded with 98 Robert Parker points.
Don PX are our signature. Each one of them is taken care of with exclusivity, from the harvest to the raisining, obtaining a unique personality.
D.O.P. Montilla-Moriles.
Deep black with beautiful amber borders. Intense, with a first highlight of orange peel, followed by rice pudding sweets, cinnamon and chocolate aromas. Raisins, caramel and coffee appear in the background. Enveloping, with a sweet entry, immediately followed by a light acidity which refreshes the pass through mouth. Unctuous, but not dense, velvety and pleasant finish.
This Don PX Selección 1968 is a delight when paired with bitter chocolate desserts and blue cheeses.
